IAM Canada – New 3-Year Collective Bargaining Agreement Ratified at Irving Aviation in Gander
Members at Irving Aviation in Gander have ratified a new three-year Collective Bargaining Agreement, with a unanimous vote. The agreement reflects strong member support and delivers improvements across wages, benefits, and workplace protections.
The contract includes annual wage increases of 4% in the first year, 4% in the second year, and 3% in the third year, providing consistent pay growth over the duration of the agreement.
In addition, members will receive a $3,000 lump-sum signing bonus along with full retroactive pay, ensuring compensation reflects the negotiated terms from the applicable period.
The agreement also strengthens financial security through enhanced severance pay provisions and introduces an additional statutory holiday, giving members more time off throughout the year.
This new collective agreement supports stability and improved conditions for Irving Aviation employees over the next three years.

TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT 140 – Colloque des États généraux du syndicalisme à Drummondville
Taking place from March 30 to April 1, this event aims to continue the process launched one year ago. It brings together more than 500 union activists who will reflect on and define solutions to help the labour movement meet today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
The IAM union was proudly represented by Michel Richer, Vincent Constantineau (LL 1751), and Alexandre Dumais (LL 712).
This step follows consultations and surveys conducted with members and the wider community. The solutions proposed by symposium participants will be presented to and evaluated by members through a survey to be released in May 2026.
