IAM Canada – Section 107: Fair Bargaining Under Threat

The IAM Union is calling for an end to the misuse of Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code to interfere with free and fair collective bargaining, arguing that it undermines the right to strike and weakens workers’ constitutional protections while favouring employers.

It also highlights the ongoing negotiations involving 12,000 members at Air Canada, recognizing their role in the company’s success despite rising living costs, and emphasizes the need to secure a fair agreement that ensures adequate wages and safe working conditions.
