On behalf of District 140, a donation was made to the Muslim Welfare Canada Food Bank by General Chairperson Mahmoud Khatib and his family. To make the impact even stronger, Mahmoud personally matched the donation, bringing the total to $500.00 worth of food for families in need.
This is what solidarity looks like beyond the workplace. Giving back, lifting others up, and supporting our communities where it matters most. Actions speak louder than words.

District 140 General Chairperson Rene Grenon made a donation to the Calgary Food Bank, helping support local families during the holiday season. His contribution reflects the ongoing commitment of IAM leadership to community care and solidarity.
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, District 140’s PDGC Dave Flowers along with Local 2323 Secretary-Treasurer John (Bubba) Smith and Membership Engagement Committee Member Mark Pacilla dropped off food to the Knights Table food bank in Brampton.
The donation included contributions from District 140 as well as food donated by the Local 2323 membership. The food was warmly received during a challenging time for our community. An initiative we hope to continue in the future.
Le mardi 16 décembre 2025, le président-directeur général (PDG) du District 140, Dave Flowers, s’est joint au Secrétaire-trésorier de la section locale 2323, John (Bubba) Smith, et au membre du comité d’engagement des membres, Mark Pacilla, pour remettre des dons à la banque alimentaire Knights Table à Brampton.
Ce don comprenait des contributions du District 140 ainsi que des dons de nourriture provenant des membres de la section locale 2323. Ces dons ont été très bien accueillis en cette période difficile pour notre communauté. Une initiative que nous souhaitons voir se poursuivre à l’avenir.
