Labour Dispute Between Air Canada and its Flight Attendants
In recent declarations to the media, Federal Minister of Labour Lisa Raitt announced that the government will intervene with back-to-work legislation and change the Canada Labour Code if necessary.
By circumventing the law in this way, taking away the right to strike and using delay tactics such as referring the dispute to the CIRB, it is clear that the Federal Government is attempting to destroy the collective bargaining process in Canada.
We urge all of you to contact the Minister of Labour to express your extreme dissatisfaction with how she is handling this dispute and treating unionized labour in general.
